Provides coating with outstandingly good vapour permeability, which can be cleaned efficiently.
The SILICON plaster is suitable for creating ornamental items on exterior and interior walls of old and new buildings, as well as for cover plastering of thermal insulating systems using mineral wool. This is the best coating for historical buildings.
The substrate shall be free from dust and dirt, and the full layer thickness shall be dry. In case of plastered surface and concrete wall the substrate shall be load bearing, as well as free from movement and shrinkage. The surface shall be smoothed or filled. Remove the lose, damaged layers and paint residue, then repair the surface defects prior to the application of primer. At the same time, make sure that the repaired parts have the same structure as the existing surface. Expert opinion should be obtained before using thin plaster for repairing of wall surfaces formerly provided with ornamental plaster (e.g. stone powder). The plaster cannot be used, if the structure is expected to be exposed to humidity for a long time.
In case of highly absorbent substrate (such as old plastering, porous concrete or thermal insulating base plaster), it is recommended to use PRIMER wall impregnating agent before the application of the primer. Priming of the wall surface shall be completed 24 hours prior to the application of the plaster. Take care to apply the primer uniformly and to make sure that the primer is entirely solid. The product contains minerals of natural origin, therefore, minor difference in colour shades could occur in subsequently ordered products, or in buckets containing products from different filling dates. Use materials with the sane filling date at each respective wall of the building, or the products in buckets with different filling dates should be mixed in a larger vessel. Subsequent orders shall be submitted to the place where the purchasing was made originally. The colours on the sample materials are given for information, for which the Revco undertakes to ensure colour stability, but the full equivalence of colours cannot be guaranteed. Make available a quantity necessary for a single surface as determined by calculation prior to starting the application. Agitate the content of each bucket with mixing blades attached to a drilling machine, and check the identification numbers printed on the edge of the buckets.
Exclusively with PRIMER plaster primer.
IMPORTANT! Always use a primer which has a colour identical to that of the colouring plaster.
Tools: stainless steel smoothing trowel or spray gun.
Spreading: Apply thin plaster by means of smoothing trowel on the surface uniformly, and then rub it with plastic smoother. Perform the rubbing with circular motion. The quantity of material applied shall be matched to the particles size, so that structural differences could not occur because of excessive or inadequate quantity of material. Always remove the extra material appearing on the plastic smoother. Do not perform the smoothing operation for a long time in order to prevent the material from becoming grey. Make sure that the application of thin plaster is made without interruption, because setting of the material starts after long waiting time, and the possibility of blending the parts is reduced. Establish work joints at borders of colours by applying tapes, or along the edges. Do not apply the materials in extreme weather conditions, such as strong sunshine, during rain, at freezing temperatures and during strong wind, because such conditions could lead to cracks during drying and application periods.
Required quantity: 1.5 mm 2.5 kg/m2
The required quantity is less by 30-50 % when the application is made by spray gun. The specified quantities refer to smooth substrate. The quantity required for rough surfaces should be checked on site. We cannot assume responsibility regarding the required quantities.
Thinning: with max. 2 % water
Colouring: Premixed in the factory in colours of the VARIO colour chart.
Temperature: The temperature of air and wall surface shall be between +5 °C and +25 °C.
Total drying time: 10 h
The specified values are valid at a temperature of 20 °C and a relative humidity of 42 %. The drying time may be significantly longer if the weather changes (low temperature, high humidity content).
Overcoating interval: at least 24 hours.
The structure will change after overcoating the plaster.
Cleaning:It can be cleaned with fine bristle brush and water. Avoid using of any detergent and cleaning agent.
Storing: Two years in original packaging at a location free from freezing. Carefully close the bucket after using.
Specific gravity: 1,85 kg/l
Density (at 20 °C): 1,85 g/cm3
Non volatile part: 85 % (m/m)(at 105 °C, 3 h)
Packaging: 16 kg
Fire hazard class: Not flammable. Belongs to fire hazard class E
Permit: CE: EN15824
Protect the material during the drying period from direct sunshine, draught, freeze, splashing rain, temperature above 30 °C. Clean the tools, mixing vessel and drops immediately after use, because only mechanical cleaning is possible after the material has dried. Take care to avoid contact with skin or eye, and if such contact still occurs, then wash with plenty of water and seek medical assistance if required. The colours on the sample materials and on the colour charts are given for information, for which the Revco undertakes to ensure colour stability, but the full equivalence of colours cannot be guaranteed.
