REVCO OPTIMIX joint filler is a ready-mix, easy-to-apply spackle with dispersion binder, packaged in tubs, which serves for levelling differences on indoor walls and ceilings (in quality Q1-Q4) and, in the case of plasterboard sheets and used with joint tape, for creating seamless joints.
The joint filler can be used on indoor lime-, cement-lime-, or cement-based fine plastered surfaces, plasterboard sheets, and unplastered concrete surfaces. REVCO OPTIMIX joint filler is easy to apply both manually and by mechanical means.
The substrate must be permanently free from dust and contamination and dry across all its layers. In the case of plastered surfaces and concrete walls, the substrate must be loadable and free from movement, shrinking, and form oil. On strongly absorbent substrates we recommend using the REVCO PRIMER wall impregnating primer. If the base structure is exposed to long-term moisture, the REVCO OPTIMIX joint filler cannot be used.
Tools for application: Roller, spraying machine.
Application method: rolling, spraying smoothing.
Wash tools and the container used for mixing after use and any drips immediately with water, as once dry, the material can only be removed by mechanical means. Before use, read the label on the tub and the technical information provided with the product.
Consumption: 1.4 -1.8 kg/m2/mm
The indicated quantities are for information only and depend on the application method and the substrate. We recommend checking consumption on site. We are unable to assume liability in connection with consumption.
Dilution: Recommended dilution: with max. 0.5 litres tap water.
Mix the product well before use.
Application temperature: During both application and drying the air temperature and the temperature of the wall surface must be between +5°C and +25°C.
Mechanical application: Due to the individual settings of machine types, we recommend performing an application test before use.
Sanding: Before applying new layers, the already coated and dry surface must be sanded with fine sandpaper (after the first layer: grit 150, before painting: grit 220).
Drying time: Sandable: After 12 hours Next layer, re-coating: After 24 hours.
The indicated values refer to 20°C and 42% relative humidity. In different weather conditions, at lower temperatures and higher humidity drying times will be longer; at higher temperatures and lower humidity drying times will be shorter.
Shelf life: 12 months from the production date.
Packaging: 25 kg
